Changing your tickets won’t cost you anything. The airline will credit you for a future trip if the price drops. But remember that this credit will only be good for 12 months from when the original ticket was issued. But if the price goes up, you have to pay the difference.

Basic Economy tickets bought before April 30, 2021, can be moved for free. However, most Basic Economy tickets bought on or after May 1, 2021, cannot be changed or refunded. If you want to wait for a different flight, say because it leaves at a better time, you will have to pay $75 unless you are a Premier Gold elite or greater.
